CV

Chase Murphy is a self-taught songwriter, rapper, and singer from Boston, Massachusetts. He’s well-respected in the East Coast’s underground music scene as he’s both an example and advocate for independence within the industry. He’s been an accomplished show promoter under his brand Golden Boy Music Group and runs his own visual production company Happy Belated, where he directs and edits videos for other companies and artists.

Chase first broke into local conversation in 2017 with his debut video “Dope Deala'', but it wasn't until the following year that he caught national attention with an electrifying hit, "No Mo". Murphy’s cult-like fanbase began to form in the summer of 2019, when his live performance became a widely talked-about spectacle in Massachusetts. Using the experience he’d gained at his day job as a carpenter, Chase built a multi-level stage in his own backyard for a concert series entitled “The Junkyard Jam”. Post-COVID, he turned this philosophy into his first-ever headline tour, playing DIY shows in backyards and unique spaces across the country. The story has since propelled him into overseas markets such as Iceland, United Kingdom, and Japan. Perhaps more importantly, the Golden Boy blueprint has since inspired countless artists both at home and abroad, as his eccentric approach to live music has been nothing short of pioneering.
